To be able to have the ability to clear negative energy through Reiki one must have received attunements during the different teaching levels of Reiki. Dr Mikao Usui , developed this healing system from ancient Buddhist teachings - with this study, research and meditation practice he spend his life work practising and teaching Reiki which is now passed down from master to student all over the world. How does Reiki Heal? Energy flows through all living beings, and this energy flows through our physical body pathways called Chakras and meridians. If these become out of balance or blocked it can have an effect on the way we feel either physically, emotionally, or mentally. When a person receives a Reiki treatment this healing energy will be directed to these blocks. A Reiki Treatment The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. If unable to lie down, the treatment can be given in a seated position. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki energy will pass through this. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. Therefore the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms. An holistic approach. The treatment will usually take an hour or slightly over depending on the situation and patient's response. Acute injuries can be helped quickly but more chronic illness takes longer. In terminal illness the energies are often too depleted for the process to be reversed but there is a great benefit and enhancement of the quality of life. This gives an enormous sense of peace and acceptance during this time. Experiencing a treatment can make one feel refreshed, relaxed, clearer and more content. Replenishing energy and strengthening one's self on an holistic level. This in turn will help clear issues, boost the immune system and so assist the natural ability of the body to heal itself. Reiki Levels Reiki is taught at 4 levels. It is a path of personal healing and development and also a practical training in the skill. Emphasis can be on personal development, working with friends and family, practitioner training, or mastery and teaching.
